Turns out Amy and Anthony had a ton of family connections. Amy’s grandfather was Anthony’s principal at St. Lawrence School; their mothers attended the same high school; and Anthony knew Amy’s younger siblings. But it wasn’t until he came across her picture on Facebook and noticed she was living in Stamford that he decided to ask her out. The couple dated for one year before getting engaged at Gabriele’s Steakhouse at the same table where they had their first date.
Father Peter Cipriani officiated at the ceremony at St. Catherine of Siena in Riverside, and a reception followed at the Belle Haven Club.
The bride, daughter of Randy and Sally Gress of Madison, graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Fordham University and Sacred Heart University. Amy is a second grade teacher at Curiale School in Bridgeport.
The groom, son of Dr. Tony and Sally D’Souza of Shelton, graduated from Hopkins School and Boston College. Anthony is a Trader at Citadel in Manhattan.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Bora Bora and Napa Valley. They call Greenwich home.
