For more than fifty years, Antiquarius has been getting antique-lovers and shoppers alike in the holiday spirit. The multi-day event has it all: a glamorous preview party, tradition-rich antiques show, a beautiful boutique with treasures to bring home, as well as the popular house tour, luncheon, and Toast of the Tour cocktail party. Pop the Champagne!
The committee for Antiquarius 2015 is attending to every detail of this enchanting annual series of high-style holiday happenings. The events are a natural draw for people who appreciate fine antiques, design, style, and architecture.
A preview party on Thursday, December 3 will kick off the week of events. Along with first choice of purchases, enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a buffet supper. The fête also provides the unique opportunity to speak one-on-one with antiques experts.
Reserve the following few days, from Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6, to attend the Greenwich Winter Antiques Show. Produced by Frank Gaglio, Inc., it features more than forty vendors who will exhibit exquisite art, decorative objects, estate jewelry, furniture, prints, vintage accessories and more from the eighteenth through the twentieth centuries. This year, representatives from acclaimed New York auction house DOYLE will be available by appointment to tell you the worth of your family heirlooms and personal treasures.
On Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9, bundle up and head over to the festive Holiday Boutique at Christ Church—it’s lovely and you’ll find lots of decor and delights to bring the spirit of the holidays to your own home.
And finally, set aside Wednesday, December 9 for the one and only Antiquarius Holiday House Tour and luncheon. Here’s your chance to indulge in the inspiration of five outstanding properties decked for the holidays.
Antiquarius can be wrapped up in only one way: the Toast of the Tour champagne reception, which will be held at an extraordinary Greenwich Landmark home. Renowned interior designer Charlotte Moss will be on hand to discuss her latest book, Garden Inspirations.
The event supports the Greenwich Historical Society’s Library and Archives, exhibitions, educational programs and Bush-Holley Historic Site.
