Nina Roome Daugherty & Hugh Thomas Mckee

Above: Vows time!

Nina and Hugh met in Montauk, New York. Nina was in town for a friend’s bachelorette weekend and ironically met her own groom-to-be. The couple dated for four years before their engagement, when Hugh proposed with his grandmother’s ring on the coast of California.

Reverend Will Vaus officiated at the ceremony at The Meadow at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont, where the reception followed. Nina and her father arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and after the ceremony a bagpiper led the guests to the reception where a New Orleans band played into the late hours of the night.

The bride, daughter of Charles and Karen Daugherty of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich Academy and Middlebury College. Nina works at Stanwich Advisors in Stamford.

The groom, son of David and Mary McKee of Toronto, graduated from Upper Canada College, Princeton University and Western University in Canada. Hugh is a finance lawyer at Mayer Brown in New York and a franchise partner with WOW 1 DAY PAINTING.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Maine before returning home to Harlem.
