This was a romance a long time in the making. Billy and Elizabeth first met as classmates at Eastern Middle School and became good friends during their time at Greenwich High School. The pair kept in touch through college, until the timing was right and they realized they had feelings for each other. They dated for a year-and-a-half until Billy proposed on bended knee at Tod’s Point.
Reverend Rolando Arias officiated at the ceremony at St. Mary Church. The church holds special meaning for the bride, as her parents and grandparents were married there and her father’s funeral was held there in 2015. Elizabeth’s older brother Michael walked her down the aisle. A reception followed at Indian Harbor Yacht Club.
The bride, daughter of Susan Wynne and the late Michael Wynne of Riverside, graduated from Greenwich High School and Fordham University. Elizabeth is the assistant manager at Hermès in Greenwich.
The groom, son of Richard and Helen McStravick of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School and Loyola University in Maryland. Billy works at J.P. Morgan in New York City.
The newlyweds honeymooned on Maui and in Napa Valley before returning home to New York City.
