Participants will begin their maple sugaring experience with family and friends on February 26th by tapping their own tree, guided by a Westmoreland Naturalist. The tree they choose will have a bucket with their name which will collect the sap that will eventually turn into their very own maple syrup.
Then on March 12th, participants will return to the Sanctuary for a maple sugaring demonstration, followed by a small feast of pancakes, Westmoreland maple syrup, and hot cider around a fire.
At the end of the sugaring season, participants will receive an 8oz bottle of their very own maple syrup made from their tree.
Registration is required.
Initial tapping date: February 26th, 2-4PM.
Maple Sugaring: March 12th, 12-2PM.
