Kristen Luneberg & Anthony Macleod

In 2005, Goldman Sachs asked Kristen Jennifer Luneberg to move to its Tokyo office. Shortly before the big move, friends and colleagues promised to connect her with other friends already living in Tokyo. One of those introductions turned out to be Anthony Matthew Macleod. Matt, as the groom is known, had moved there a year prior with Lehman Brothers. Matt reached out and offered to show Kristen around. The rest is history. In July 2009, the couple vacationed in Italy. Matt proposed in Venice on a balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. Father James Arimond, S.J., former headmaster of Fairfield College Preparatory, and the Reverend Darlene Shlesinger, affiliated with Rose Ministries, officiated at the outdoor, nondenominational ceremony held at Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island, and a reception followed there.

The bride, daughter of Judy and Robert Luneberg of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, graduated from Lincoln High School and Duke University. Kristen is a vice president for foreign exchange sales at Goldman Sachs in New York.

The groom, son of Carol and Anthony Macleod of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich Country Day, Fairfield College Preparatory and Harvard. Matt is the director for foreign exchange sales in the New York offices of Deutsche Bank.

Following a honeymoon in the Maldives, the couple returned home to Manhattan.
