The new year is all about mastering streamlined, sleek and sophisticated living spaces. Minimize, which simply means to select what is not needed and thoroughly enjoy what is—favorite pieces, color, texture, light. Indulgence no longer means more; it means better.

A genius at this approach is the brand Calvin Klein. When has gray, cream and black with simple lines ever been more confident? The looks come into the home, too. At the turn of the new year, the Voce Di showroom in Greenwich unveiled 900 square feet fully devoted to Calvin Klein Furniture and Calvin Klein Curator, with decorative accessories placed precisely.

Voce Di, “Voice Of” in Italian, was founded by Claire Maestroni and Giorgio Stefano in 2012 as a revolutionary design resource with European appeal. Their Soho location is equal parts furniture showroom, contemporary art gallery, interior design center and cultural events venue. The Greenwich location followed a year later to offer industrial design, fine art, modern furniture and the iconic glass garage door. Claire had decided to move on from her store Mis En Scene to create a showroom that would combine the innovative elements of the Soho store. The result is a store that begs shoppers to wander, touch and imagine.

Calvin Klein Furniture, designed by Amy Mellen, creative director of Calvin Klein Home, is contemporary with the brand’s signature clean aesthetic. Casegoods—chests, dressers and bookshelves—come in natural and stained American wood finishes that reflect each line’s uniqueness. The upholstery selection features both married and made-to-order fabrics and leathers. Its Curator Collection—a finely tuned collection of furniture in refined finishes, discreet details and cosmopolitan living—is a natural for Voce Di. The pieces, from sofas and chairs to beds and dressers, incorporate harmonious elements, such as smoked glass and powder coated metal accents;  hand-rubbed, saddle finishes; polished walnut woods and natural oak and walnut finishes.

One walk through Voce Di should inspire shoppers to look at their own homes and decide what really needs to be there—and what doesn’t. The right essentials create a well-ordered space. 109 Bruce Park Avenue, Greenwich, 203-422-0567; vocedi.com
